Strengthening International Cooperation, Faculty of Law UMM Establishes Communication with France Sorbonne Law School

Malang (16/12) - Faculty of Law, UMM again established communication with overseas institutions. This time, the Sorbonne Law School, Paris, France, is the choice for cooperation. An online meeting was held between the Dean of the Faculty of Law of UMM and representatives from the Sorbonne Law School, Paris, France, Professor Francois Xavier Lucas, on Friday (11/12).
"We have several agendas for collaboration based on the topics and expertise of the lecturers, for example to conduct joint research. Apart from that, we routinely hold an International Conference on Law Reform (INCLAR) in September, which is attended by experts. from various countries. This collaboration and cooperation will further strengthen the two institutions. " Said Dr. Tongat, Dean of the Faculty of Law of UMM in the opportunity of the online meeting.
Prof. Lucas, a representative from the Sorbonne Law School, Paris, France, welcomed the idea presented by the Faculty of Law UMM. The two institutions hope to meet in person next year or after the Covid-19 pandemic ends. Apart from research and seminars, collaboration and cooperation are also expected to be established in other academic fields, such as visiting lectures or student exchanges. (saf / hum)
