Malang (4/2) - 2021 is the beginning of the internationalization of UMM. To support the internationalization of UMM, all faculties, units and institutions collaborate with each other in achieving international recognition, including the Faculty of Law.

One of the efforts made by the Law Faculty is to prepare to register at FIBAA. FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) is an international accreditation institution based in Germany. Located in the UMM Law Faculty Moot Court Room, attended Dr. Nurul Barizah from Unair, gave training and shared tips about FIBAA.
"One of the scopes accredited by FIBAA is law or law. They are very objective in evaluating. Not too many files submitted. The good thing is, FIBAA is now recognized by the Higher Education. It is different from AUNQA which is not recognized." Said Dr. Nurul Barizah.

FIBAA has been used as an official accreditation partner by the Ministry of Education in several countries, such as Turkey. Accreditation from FIBAA consists of several aspects, from management to institutions. The plan is that the Faculty of Law of UMM will apply for accreditation for the Law Science Study Program, the only study program that is owned by the Faculty.

"We are preparing the accreditation forms. At first glance, the questions on the accreditation forms seem reasonable enough for us to fulfill. For example, related to international collaboration, international lecturers and students and so on. Last year we invited 2 lecturers from India and Algeria. There were also students from Thailand. God willing, we can get FIBAA accreditation. " Said Dr. Tongat, Dean of the UMM Faculty of Law.

Apart from international lecturers and students, as stated by the Dean, the Faculty of Law of UMM also has a second International Conference (INCLAR) in September. Several lecturers are also currently pursuing doctoral studies abroad. This portfolio made the Faculty of Law of UMM confident with the possibility of achieving accreditation from FIBAA. Through this international recognition, the Faculty of Law participated in realizing the ideals of internationalization of UMM. (saf / hum)
