Jakarta (21/2) - Metaverse Moot Court District Courts continue to receive positive responses from various groups, including academics, students, and legal practitioners. Since its launch, this innovation has been considered a step forward in the digitalization of legal education in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
As recognition for the innovation produced, the Supreme Court Legal and Judicial Policy and Education and Training Strategy Agency (BSDK MA), an institution under the Indonesian Supreme Court which is tasked with formulating strategic policies and developing legal and judicial training for judges, clerks and other legal officers, which is a partner of the Faculty of Law, Muhammadiyah University of Malang, has given high appreciation to the development team. BSDK MA officially invited the District Court's Metaverse Moot Court to be exhibited at the "2025 Legal Village", an annual grand event held by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, at the Supreme Court, Tuesday-Wednesday, 18-19 February 2025.
Kampung Hukum is one of the biggest events in the world of Indonesian law which brings together various legal institutions, academics, students, and policymakers to share the latest innovations and developments in the legal field. The participation of the District Court's Metaverse Moot Court in this event is clear proof that technology can provide innovative solutions for legal learning.
According to Nur Putri Hidayah, A.Md., S.H., M.H., one of the main developers from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, this invitation is an honor and proof that technology-based innovation in legal education is really needed.
"We really appreciate this opportunity and hope that the District Court Metaverse Moot Court can be a solution that supports improving the quality of law graduates in Indonesia. "Our presence at the 2025 Law Village will be an opportunity to introduce more widely how technology can strengthen the legal skills of legal students and practitioners," said Nur Putri Hidayah, A.Md., S.H., M.H.
It is hoped that the presence of the District Court Metaverse Moot Court in Kampung Hukum 2025 will further introduce the benefits and potential of technology in legal education and open up opportunities for collaboration with various other legal institutions (put/saf/hum).
