Malang (27/3) - A number of students from the Faculty of Law, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) who are members of the Community Service by Student Program (PMM) Group 91 with Field Supervisor Mr. Sholahuddin Al-Fatih, S.H., M.H. held educational activities related to the urgency and registration of Household Industrial Food Production Certificates (SPP-IRT) for PKK and PAUD Smart Children in Ardiulyo Village, Singosari District, Malang. This activity was held at Ardimulyo Village Hall on Sunday (21/3).

This activity was carried out aimed at increasing legal awareness of the people of Ardimulyo Village regarding the importance of the home industry in having SPP-IRT as a form of participation by IRT producers to assist the state in ensuring quality and nutrition as well as food quality for consumers and ensuring consumer safety. SPP-IRT is a written guarantee given by the Regent / Mayor through the Health Office for food produced by IRTP in their working area that has met the requirements for food circulation.

As we know, in a pandemic like now, many new MSMEs have emerged, especially related to food production. However, not many of them know that home industry production or production carried out at home must have an SPP-IRT. Therefore, UMM Faculty of Law students who are members of PMM Group 91 carry out these activities.

In the education they conducted, they explained the importance of having an SPP-IRT, SPP-IRT registration requirements, and SPP-IRT registration procedures at the Health Office.

The PMM Group 91 Coordinator said, "SPP-IRT is very important for producers to have because SPP-IRT is used as a distribution permit for a food product and is used to ensure the quality and nutrition quality of the community. So, if a Home Industry Food producer (P-IRT) does not have an SPP-IRT, the food product that is distributed is illegal.”

This education related to SPP-IRT was welcomed by the community in this case, namely PKK and PAUD Smart Children in Ardimulyo Village.

"I would like to thank the students of PMM UMM who have shared their knowledge with us regarding this SPP-IRT, because many of the mothers who are here just know about this. Hopefully the knowledge that has been shared earlier can be useful for all of us, "said Mrs. Hambali, as the Deputy Chairperson of the PKK Ardimulyo Village as well as the Principal of the PAUD Smart Children School (pmm / 91).
